The Chevron Group secured two awards at the BQF 2021 awards held recently in London.
Jamie Bowen, who is Head of ESG and Improvement for the Chevron Group was named Business Excellence Established Leader because, according to the winning citation, of his “strong track record of leading change and transformation across a wide-ranging portfolio, developing people, managing multiple complex stakeholders and leading their organisation into the future ever-changing environments.”
Jamie has been instrumental in driving an environmental, social and governance agenda for the Chevron Group, as well as heading up an ESG Centre of Excellence with the Chevron Group’s international partners including Ramudden, AVS and Fero. These companies make up the Work Zone Safety Group and under Jamie’s leadership, they are driving ESG standards in Europe and Canada.
“I am delighted that Jamie has been named the BQF Business Excellence Established Leader,” comments Tim Cockayne, CEO, the Chevron Group. “Jamie is an outstanding leader who is committed to ESG and driving real change and improvements. Under his leadership, we have introduced a number of initiatives within the Chevron Group that are delivering real results. We are proud to hold ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 50001 Energy Management. In April 2021, we set up a partnership with ClimateCare to offset our carbon emissions and we have recently announced our commitment to Science-Based Targets to ensure we take urgent and sustained action to reduce our carbon footprint in alignment with climate science.”
Jamie is supported by a team of professionals who are committed to ESG and who have built a strong culture of ESG across the Chevron Group.
The Chevron Group won a second award, Excellence in Creating a Healthy and Safe Culture, in recognition for “creating a culture that places everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing at the heart of what they do.”
“The health, safety and wellbeing culture within the Chevron Group is also led by Jamie Bowen and his team. This award is a double recognition of Jamie’s leadership and his commitment to driving improvements across the Group,” added Tim.
